Talking Discussion And Mapathon for Humanitarian & Disaster Response Preparedness

On July 28, 2022, a seminar on “Mappers Talk Discussion & Mapathon for humanitarian & disaster response preparedness” was organized by PSTU YouthMappers at Patuakhali University of Science & Technology University, in this session, Mikko Tamura (Asia & Pacific Regional Hub Community Manager Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team(HOT), Tasauf A Baki Billah (Executive Director, Bangladesh Open Innovation Lab (BOIL), Director, OpenStreetMap Bangladesh Foundation), Sawan Shariar (Regional Ambassador, YouthMappers) and many others were present as guest speakers.

The session, which began at 11 am, ended at 3.30 pm. In this wonderful session, the honorable Dean sir of the Faculty of Environmental Science and Disaster Management of Patuakhali University of Science & Technology and other respected sirs were also present and delivered their valuable speeches.

The event is completed beautifully with the combination of the meetup, discussion, and mapathon. Apart from this, all the activities of PSTU YouthMappers organized so far were highlighted with the help of an excellent presentation. In addition, our new project “The Life of Coast”, also displayed a beautiful presentation.

The role of our panel members and volunteers in making this entire seminar a success was immense. Apart from this, the School of Earth & Environment-SEE team was also involved in this seminar of ours last time.
